What we collect
When you make an account we hold your email address, and your name and phone number if you give them. When you order we hold the shipping address you enter and what you bought. We record the IP address your account was created from.
We never see or store your card number. Payments are handled by Stripe, and the card details are entered directly into Stripe’s systems, not ours. We do store an anonymous card fingerprint Stripe gives us — a code that lets us tell that two orders used the same card without telling us anything about the card itself.
Why we hold it
To take your order, ship it, answer questions about it, and meet our tax and record-keeping obligations.
We also use it to keep drops fair. Our pieces are made in limited runs, and without checks a small number of buyers take everything and resell it. When you order during a drop we compare your email, phone, shipping address and card fingerprint against other orders in that same drop, to enforce the per-customer limit shown on the product page. That comparison happens automatically and only within a drop.
Who else sees it
- Stripe — payment processing. They see your name, email, address and card.
- Shippo, and the carrier — to buy a label and deliver the parcel.
- Supabase — hosts the database this site runs on.
- Vercel — hosts the site itself.
- Intuit QuickBooks — our accounting. It receives order totals and tax, not your address or card.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
We email you about orders you have placed — that is part of selling you something, not marketing. Newsletters are separate and opt-in: the box is unticked by default and you are never subscribed by buying. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years, which is what tax record-keeping requires. Account details are kept until you ask us to remove them.
Your choices
Email amanda@olsenglassdesigns.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We will delete what we can — order records we are legally required to keep will stay until that period ends, and we will tell you which those are.
Children
These are decorative collectibles for adults. They contain lead, are not food-safe, and are not toys. The shop is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects how we use what we already hold, we will email account holders rather than quietly updating the date at the top.
