Buying from us
An account is required to buy. Pieces are made in limited runs and each product page shows how many one customer may buy — that limit is enforced at checkout, and orders that exceed it may be cancelled and refunded.
Drops and preorders
A drop is a limited release with a queue. A place in the queue is not a reservation and does not guarantee a piece.
A preorder is a piece not yet made. Your card is charged when you order, and the piece ships once the run is received from our supplier. The expected ship date for each drop is announced on this site and updated if it moves; we do not promise a fixed date, because manufacturing and freight are not ours to control.
Drop shipments go out in waves, so tracking notifications may arrive in an order that does not match the order in which orders were placed.
Preorder and drop orders are non-cancelable once placed, because production is allocated against them. In-stock orders may be cancelled before shipment by emailing amanda@olsenglassdesigns.com. Orders cancelled automatically for exceeding a purchase limit are refunded within 3–5 business days.
Shipping
In-stock orders ship within 3–5 business days of being placed. Shipping is arranged through Shippo, which selects from major carriers — typically USPS, UPS or FedEx. Rates are calculated at checkout from weight, dimensions and destination.
Free shipping is not generally available: packaging and handling fragile glass is a real cost, and we would rather charge it than hide it in the price.
Tracking is emailed once the label is generated. Please check your address before ordering — a package confirmed delivered to the address given is not something we can replace.
International orders go to the countries listed at checkout and typically take 2 to 6 weeks longer than a comparable domestic delivery. Customs duties and import fees are the customer’s responsibility. We do not under-declare the value of international shipments or mark commercial goods as gifts.
If it arrives broken
It is glass, and it happens. Within 30 days, email amanda@olsenglassdesigns.com with your order number, a description of the damage, and three photographs:
- the shipping label
- the shipping box, showing the exterior damage
- the damaged piece or pieces, in their original packing material
We reply within two business days and issue a full refund of the purchase price and the original shipping charge. We do not send replacements: runs are limited, and the piece you bought no longer exists to replace.
All other sales are final — no returns or exchanges on undamaged merchandise. Minor variation in colour, shape and finish is characteristic of hand-finished glass and is not a defect.
Most card refunds appear within 3–5 business days, though some banks take up to 10.
Bought somewhere else
Pieces bought through Whatnot or from a retail partner are covered by that seller’s policies, not these.
What these are, and what they are not
Decorative collectibles for adults. They contain lead. They are not food-safe, must not be used to serve or store anything you intend to consume, and are not toys.
Prices
In US dollars. Sales tax is added where we are registered to collect it. We may change prices, but never on an order already placed.
Glass Act — software licence
This section covers the internal software, not the shop. It is here because it is required by the services Glass Act connects to.
Glass Act is private software built for and used solely by Thrifty CT Vintage & More LLC to run its own business. It is not distributed, sold, or licensed to anyone else, and there is no way for a third party to obtain or use it.
Access is limited to authorised staff of the company, who may use it only for the company’s own operations. Where Glass Act connects to an outside service — Intuit QuickBooks, Stripe, Shippo — it does so under that company’s own terms, using credentials issued to us, and only against the company’s own accounts. It reads and writes no data belonging to anyone else.
The software is provided as-is to its own users, with no warranty. It is maintained at the company’s discretion and may change or stop at any time.
